My Homepage About Me Highlights Reflections

Welcome!

This website is a project for LSC548 as part of my GSLIS program. By building this website and completing several weeks' worth of lab assignments, we have been learning about the construction, development, and long-term changes of library websites over time. Not only does this help us become better acquainted with trends in information architecture and web development in our fields, but it also helps us apply those practices in the construction of a website. Before this course, I'd never had any real experience coding; I hadn't used HTML since middle school, and I'd never had to use CSS or JavaScript to code larger-scale pieces of a website.

In the tabs above you will find the following information.

  1. About Me: A short bio
  2. Highlights: Examples of work I've completed thus far in the program
  3. Reflections: Thoughts on what I've learned in this course and how I will apply it later
  4. Labs: A comparison, usability test, and treemap of the Library of Congress website
