I'm a little more than halfway through the GSLIS program; I wanted to take this course because I have so little web development experience, and I know that programs that instruct coding for kids & teens are increasingly important for librarians to know. As an undergraduate student, I studied writing & political science, and spent a lot of time in the library writing paper after paper after paper. However, despite all that time spent there, I never once talked to a librarian to get help with something I was working on! That helps center me now as I work as an Adult Services Librarian at Mystic & Noank Library. We have to show people in the community, library and non-library users alike, what it is we can do to help people! Outside of work, I love reading (obviously), joining writing groups to learn from other people's lives and experiences, and trying to learn more about native plants where I live on hikes and the like. Feel free to get in touch using my email in the footer below about anything you find interesting on this site.
