I am a graduate student in the Library and Information Science program of The University of Rhode Island. My undergrad was in the concentration of Art History and a Minor in Business also at URI. My goal to move forward in my degree plan to work in a museum in the subject of Indigenous cultures of the Americas; my second option is to work in an academic library mainly an art and design school; third yes there is a third option teaching in higher education Library Research and Art History.I am originally from New York City, commuting back and forth every once in a while, to Long Island visiting family. My mother is from Rhode Island hint the reason why I here. After graduating from La Guardia High School of fine and Performing Arts I've worked at the American Indian Community House with youth and the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian. I transition to Rhode Island for family connection, as well as going to school for my degree.I am an active artist displaying my work in various galleries in New York City and Rhode Island. My medium is drawing with pencil, charcoal and ink, watercolor and beadwork. I am more known for my beadwork, it is an art taught to me by my mother, family and tribal members sharing their knowledge, craft and techniques with me. The photo that I am sharing on my page is a pair of moccasins that I have made five years ago. I made them for myself to dance in Eastern War style at the Pow-Wows, I changed my mind once I finished them and switched to do Grassdancing. I display these moccasins as part of my exhibition with other works of art of mind in art galleries. Beside going to school, I love beadwork along with the stories and tradition combined. I enjoy traveling, conferences, art and fashion design books, anime & mega, and my favorite seasons are Fall and Winter.
