2009 There is not much to scroll through. Minimal search opportunities. The static paghe gives limited information in a narrow column.
2014 Some images and links are added Search through hyperlinks The content isin sections, divided by type of content as you scroll.
2019 Visually busy, more organized frames to detail a specific catevbgory of data. Further sophistication of how to selectively search in various databvases. More spatial breadth / room to add more material.

Reflecting on the second lab, the table and border were difficult to manage. You must read through and consult the webppage to understand why a certain tag is entered and where it should be placed.

What are your thoughts and tastes in regards to the website design and architecture? I don't quite like the big fonts / characters in purple. I think they should be much smaller. That can be distracting to the reader. Maybe a few pictures can be introduced: pictures that somehow evoke the nature of the contents. The pictures can be either centered or on the left. Visual contents can help the reader making the reading a bit more pleasurable because they function like a pause between paragraphs. I image no more than three images which should not be too big nor too small. An image can be a screenshot of the library of congress's page for instance, followed by the link to that page. The architecture is minimal and classic, meaning something similar to a journalistic format, which is fine. There are some errors to correct (not grammatical but more technical like letters in words that should not be there). The design is very easy to navigate and use. The links are well labeled and bring you to the exact website that you are looking for. I liked the different colors and fonts and size of the text. It was easy to differentiate what information went with what topic. The table was well written and easy to follow. I like that i can scroll straight down and find all the info I need right under that topic and I don’t have to go searching for it on the page. I think the design of the 2019 website it great. It is easy to navigate and there are many different links that lead you to different pages. For the 2009 design, I did not like how only one column of links is provided. In the new design, having the links scattered and also part of a drop down box makes it more appealing and look nicer. I like that the website is easy to navigate. With the search button on the top right, it makes it easy to search for exactly what you want. 2019 VERSION... ILLUSTRATES THE IMPORTANCE OF MAN'S INTELLIGENCE AND DEDICATION TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION. I liked that there was MORE AVAILABILITY AND ACCESIBILITY OF SUBJECT MATTER IN THE 2019 VERSION. THE 2019 VERSION IS MUCH EASIER TO USE. The design of Monique’s website was very straight forward, as it should be when comparing a before and after. I enjoy how Monique described each library from 2009, 2014, and 2019, and then later described the key differences to simplify what we read before in Roman numeral format. Then she also went on to create a table of the differences based on Aesthetic Feel, Navigation Options, and Content, which was appealing to the eye. architecture I liked that after each description of the library, Monique included a link to the library for us to visualize what she wrote.
What did you glean from this website? I think there should be an intro right after the title so to highlight what the page is all about. The links such as ''Library of Congress 2019'' should open in another folder / page so to not distract the reader from the primary page (allowing the page to remain open). I gathered a very good amount of information from this website. Some information I learned was the difference between the Library of Congress websites and how the website has changed drastically over the years. Another useful thing I learned was the how to navigate the website and the various tools it has to offer. What information did you glean from this website? The 2019 website has made serious upgrades making it easier to navigate as well as more pleasing to the eye. 2019 VERSION... ILLUSTRATES THE IMPORTANCE OF MAN'S INTELLIGENCE AND DEDICATION TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION. Over the years, the Library of Congress websites have been updated in a way that is more appealing to the viewer.
What coould be different, and why? Maybe adding bullet points is a good choice because it gives more structure and clarity to the contents. Your name on the top and the title should not be the same color of parts of the contents. Maybe a dark blue or dark brown would work better. I am using a phone so I am not sure if the table is what it would look like on a computer, however I would maybe put the headings/categories of the table in a different color or bold/underline them. I still think it is very easy to read regardless. But it just might make the headings pop more I wouldn't change anything. LARGER PRINT (14 POINTS) AT LEAST FOR SR. CITIZENS AND SIGHT-CHALLENGED INDIVIDUALS. If I could change anything, I would put the table at the bottom of her website into an actual table, just to organize the data in a viewer friendly way. I would also include bolded/different color headings to better deviate each section.
Who might benefit from this information? It depends of what is the niche of readers you want to target. Anyone doing research on the library of Congress could use this website. It would also be helpful to people looking for older information on the library vs new information. It may also help teach people how to use the new website and what it can offer to make their life a little easier when finding information on the library of Congress I believe students in high school and college would like this website because it is appealing to the eye and is easy to navigate. High school and college students use websites like this more frequently than other students and it is a beneficial website. IF SUGESTION IN ITEM 4 (ABOVE) IS ADOPTED, THEN THE ELDERLY AND SIGHT CHALLENGED WOULD BENEFIT, AND TRENDING NEWS WOULD ENLIGHTEN THOSE WIITHOUT CELL PHONES OR NEWSPAPERS. Website design editors who want to update their website or start a website from scratch would benefit from what Monique wrote. It shows them the before and after of a website that has been used for years, and explains what works and doesn’t.

Based on questions in the textbook and other readings such as Adller's article, i came up with some key tasks for participants. I asked friends and family to particpate and received results that. explain protocol, brainstorming process, and demographcis of particpants.

In Lab 3, I learned how to secure a border for my table. I also learned about usability testing and prioritizing which concerns to apply in evaluating my resuls. There are revisions i still need to do. Lastly, in order to finish off a displayed image and seperate it from everything else, it must end with the symbols: .

In reflecting on this lab, I was able to see which pages were in certain groups within other pages. Some pages had the same name, but were referred to under different request, such as asking for help and contact serving the same purpose. Reapplying excel and converting to a chart was a refresher from prevuouys classes.
